Welcome to DaddyBeGood

According to our research, British dads are the busiest in Europe, working an average of 47 hours a week. Despite the lack of time, 82% of dads want to spend more of their free time with their families.

We also know that dads now spend more time with their kids than ever before. The 1970s dad spent 15 minutes a day with their kids. Today this has risen to two hours. Fathers now do as much as one-third of all childcare.

We believe a gap has opened up. Dads are more involved than ever, and want to be more involved still, but there is little to help dads along: Does reading a story to my child before bed really help? Should I help coach the school football team? How can we have a stress-free visit to the restaurant with our kids?

If any of these issues sound familiar, DaddyBeGood is for you. Stories are written by dads (and one mum). Our columnists, a selection of some of Britain’s best writers, hope to give you ideas for things that might work for you.

But we don’t pretend to have all the answers. Take a trawl through the forums to post any questions, and suggest solutions that have worked for you. They could work for another dad.
And if you’re stuck for something to do with the kids, we can help. We have a rolling series of offers running through the year so that dads go free.
It would be great to hear what you think of the site. Do get in touch.

Very best
